Introduction and Objectives
Technical and functional skills as well as content knowledge are basic requirements but these alone are not sufficient to compete in today’s world of work. Increasingly, personal awareness and interpersonal communication skills are becoming essential for professional as well as personal effectiveness.
This training, on the personal development side, will provide you with insights to realize your optimum potential and equip you with the skills to actualize it. On the interpersonal side, it will make you understand which crucial role you play in creating the other’s response and it will help you in getting desired behaviours from others.
The objectives of the training course are:
- To enhance your self-insight and make you aware of your strengths and weaknesses
- To improve skills in communicating and interacting with others
- To master the genuine influencing skills by understanding how we create the responses that we get from others
- To enhance self-learning power and the ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment

- Core Quadrants: on personal qualities, pitfalls, allergies and challenges
- Basic communication skills: empathetic listening, assertive speaking, open questioning and profound silence
- The art of feedback
- Tension/conflict management: on the basis of Kilmann’s and Leary’s models
- Self management and time management skills
- Thinking and decision-making skills
- Negotiation skills
Target Participants
Junior to mid-level professionals including administrative/finance staff.

This program will be led by Miriam Lindwer from the Netherlands and co-facilitated by Rajendra Manandhar.

About the facilitators:
Miriam Lindwer is a senior trainer from the Netherlands. She is associated with Sunflower Coaching (www.sunflowercoaching.net) and has extensive experience in management coaching, personal coaching, facilitation of workshops and training programmes. She has wide expertise in competency management and has helped many organisations with selection procedures of new staff, development of management potentials and implementation of competency management and competency-based appraisal systems. Her special interest lies in development of self-awareness, personal skills and enhancing communication and interaction at the workplace.
From 2000 to 2007 Miriam Lindwer worked as a consultant/trainer/coach in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. In this capacity, she did assignments with KLM Royal Dutch Airways, several Regional Police Forces and many national and international IT/Telecom companies. She has provided personal coaching, training and development programmes for several (I)NGO’s in recent years in Nepal.
Miriam has done her BA in Management, MA in Organisational Anthropology, and additional courses in Psychology and coaching and counselling.
Rajendra Manandhar works as a trainer and development consultant. He has been at senior management positions in several INGOs in Nepal for 18 years. Now he has fully devoting himself to developing people. Hence, he has become the pivotal person in Kabule– the Wise Leader. Besides having taken up the overall management of the organisation, he is involved in many of the assignments as a resource person and a trainer.
Besides, he is a psychological counsellor and delivers counselling sessions to individuals and groups. He is also a regular columnist on personal development in the Yubamanch – a youth monthly digest published by the Gorkhapatra Sansthan.
He is studying Buddhist philosophy and he practices yoga and meditations.
